Greg Carson is a 25-year educator and founder and Senior Pastor of Tabernacle Christian Center in Durham, North Carolina. He is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Pastor Carson graduated from Olympic High School in Charlotte and continued his education by attending North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina where he received a BS degree with a dual major of Chemistry and Biology.
In August of 1986, Pastor Carson was employed by Mount Zion Christian Academy as a Science and Math Teacher. A position he held for seven years rising to the position of Assistant Principle and Athletic Director.
In 1993, Pastor Carson left Mount Zion Christian Academy to start his own business called Christian Enterprises, Inc. which included a sports apparel company, a janitorial service and a construction subcontracting company which he has operated for 25 years.
In 1997, Pastor Carson went to work for Faith Bible Church located in Fort Mill, South Carolina. While there, he rose from the position of Associate Pastor to Assistant Pastor which included the duties of instructing in the ministry’s Bible School, helping start and overseeing the Christian Academy and overseeing the Helps Ministry.
In 2005, Pastor Carson was led of the Lord to start Tabernacle Christian Center in Raleigh.
From 2010 to 2012, Pastor Carson continued his education by studying to earn his Master’s Degree in Education Administration. Since 2017, he has served as a school admnistator in Chapel Hill and Raleigh, NC.
Pastor Carson is married to the beautiful Cecelia Carson and is the father of three beautiful daughters, LaShondra, Brittany and Tiffany and the grandfather of 7 grandchildren.
